And finally, the new WNY Medical Arts Center is just wrapping up construction of their third brand new building on the fringle of downtown on Michigan Ave.
One of the city's newest charter schools, the WNY Maritime Charter School opened last year on Michigan Ave. I don't know I missed this one! All the students wear military style uniforms. It's a very disciplined program.

Dozens of new homes are being built in the city's Fruitbelt section on the fringe of the Medical Campus. (You can see Roswell Park Cancer Institute in the background.) This is an amazing collaboration between the Medical Campus and the nearby St. John The Bapist Church to revitalize the neighborhood.

This historic building at Ellicott & Broadway is the setting for a rather famous Charles Burchfield painting. It has been renovated into very high end apartments ($2500 a month) with first floor retail.
For those of you who have never been there, The Pearl Street Grill not only offers great comfort food but this unique fans system that runs on a series of large rubber bands.
The Webb Building on Pearl Street right next to the Pearl Street Grill is being converted into lofts with a first floor day care service.
New owners, Hodgson & Russ law firm have committed millions of dollars into the renovations of the historic Guaranty Building.
The office space at 285 Delaware is officially full! The construction is moving right along too.
I went on another of my downtown tours to see all the exciting building and renovations going on. First stop Main Street. Feeling the pressure of their recently renovated neighbors in the Medical Campus Siracuse Engineers recently completed a renovation, inside and out of their space on Main near Virginia.

For the few friends who I have failed to mention her to, I would like to introduce to you Ms. Stephanie Miller, probably the funniest liberal talk show host on the planet. She was born in Lockport not far from Buffalo and is nationally snydicated. Take a peek at her site.

Better late then never! I forgot to put up the latest magazine cover. This month's issue is an online edition only because we are in the process of redesigning the magazine look starting with next month's issue.
And finally, here's Darrell about to be attacked by a giant Alaskan grizzly bear.
Here I am next to a pretty large Buffalo (Bison).
The Egyptian exhibit had a lot of unique items including several Kings that had been mummified.
Here is the "Chenrezig Mandala", the Mandala of Compassion, which was created by Buddhist monks exclusively for the Buffalo Museum of Science for the visit of the Dali Lama this summer. The BMS is one of the few museums in the world and the first museum in North America to have a permanent sand mandala.
The museum recently added a room on Tibetan cultural and Buddhism. Here are some of the silk screenings that were featured.
They had an exhibit of snowflakes. Each of the pictures shown here are actually snowflakes capturted on camera.
Me and my friend Darrell spent MLK Day at the Buffalo Musuem of Science. Here's a photo of the second floor atrium.
Check out this cool site where you can make your own dance video!

Ahhhh, the excitement of living downtown! An obviously confused 74 year old man not only drove his car on the section of Main Street that is not for vehicle traffic, he continued into the underground tunnel portion of the subway and drove into a train!

Why are we not restesting these elderly drivers on an annual basis?
