Finally, a good picture of my new car without her being rained on.

Sunday, October 29, 2006

After church today me and Michael went to LeMetro for brunch. On our walk over there we ran into a car with this funny bumper sticker on it.
Believe it or not I actually made it to church today. Here's a picture of the Uniterian Universalist Church I go to on Elmwood and West Ferry.
The October Issue of the magazine is out. Porn star Johnny Hazzard is on the cover taken by our own photographer, Brian Lawrence.
I saved the best for last. About 4 in the morning I had a costume change. Hey, they say blondes have more fun!
Jen and Ann ripping it up at the Underground.
Joel from Undergound takes a break from bartending with Steve.
Me and my friend Ken.
Mike and Dan at Roxy's.
My cousin with a de-clothed Donny and a cowboy I'd love to lasso!
Hotties, hotties, everywhere!
Our heavy handed bartender, Michael Davis.
Girls Gone Wild! Kenny and Leo.
Chris and Jeremy.
Last night was my cousins annual Halloween party. So let the pics tell the tale. Dr. Dan and his experiment gone bad!

As we all prepare for this Halloween weekend I wanted to pass along a great drink receipe. The Slippery Lub (serve in a martini glass): 3 parts Cranberry Juice, 3 parts Absolute Kurant, 1 part Peach Schnapps, and 1 part Triplesec!

*I am not responsible for any/all "incidents" that happen after consumption of this beverage!
Here's my new baby getting wet in the rain. Poor thing. I've been long overdue for a new vehicle and last night I went out and bought one. It's a 2007 Chevy Impala LT3.

It's pretty well loaded with aluminium wheels, spoiler, sun roof, heated leather bucket seats, power locks and mirrors, 6 CD changer, XM satelite radio, On-Star, keyless entry, remote starter, with a 3.9L V6 engine. Not bad!

The developer from England who just bought the Statler Towers and will be spending $80 million to refurbish them has plans now to build Buffalo's tallest building. He's proposing a 40 story high rise on South Elmwood and West Huron. The drawing above shows the new federal court building in front of the propsed high rise.

I've been a bit down lately with things going on in my life but Spot's Chai Tea always makes me feel better.
More rough news for my fathers side of the family. My mother called me today to inform me that my 16 year old cousin, who I just met for the first time last week at my other cousins funeral is dead. Apparently it was a drug related overdose. It's not yet known whether it was on purpose or an accident.

Thank you Massachusetts Power for your help! There are power crews from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and across New York State here also.
Norwood Ave. left!
Jeff take a deep breath before you look at these next pictures. A tree hugger advisory is in effect! Most streets in the city look like this. This is Norwood Ave. looking right!
My friends Michael and Jeff take a quick break in Bidwell Park.
Crews work on Bidwell cleaning up the damage.
Storm Update - Sunday. Me and some friends went for a walk today to see what kind of damage was out there. The snow is mostly gone now but it seems like every tree in Bidwell Park has damage. The Olmstead Parks director stated that 90% of the tree's in Delaware Park were damaged!

It seems like every tree has damage including these near my parking lot. As of just before 1 p.m. over 400,000 people have no power including my parents! This is a bad one!
Franklin Street being cleaned up from branches of the oldest tree in Buffalo. For those tree huggers out there, the tree itself is fine!
Downtown, looking down Main Street.
There's no getting down most sidewalks. Most of the trees are down or lost branches.
I guess this cruiser isn't going anywhere anytime soon!
O.K., so maybe this snow won't be gone in a day, or even a week. LOL! What the hell happened? Nobody knows!

Now here's a site, snow falling on the colorful fall leaves. The leaves aren't even at there peak yet.
Yes folks, that is snow! We got hit by a surprise snow storm in the Queen City complete with lightning and thunder. It'll all be gone in a day.

I was playing around with my HP Image Zone today and turned this photo I took of the old Gold Dome, now M&T Bank and turned it into a metalic drawing. Pretty cool stuff!
My second attempt at a new photo. We're getting better. Wow, my package looks big there!

Monday, October 09, 2006

It was so nice out last night I decided to take a late night walk to Spot Coffee. My friend Chris met me there and then we walked around downtown for about 45 minutes. It's nice walk around downtown late on a Sunday without all the noise and people.
My mother called last night to say that my cousin passed away. Apparently visiting hours are set up for Thursday and Friday of this week with a Saturday morning funeral. Rough times are ahead!

Now, backing up a bit. On my way into work my mother called my to tell me that my 44 year old cousin Bobby, who has been fighting leukemia for 8 months told the doctors at Roswell Park Cancer Institute today that he wanted everything unplugged. Essentially, he wants to die! He has been in too much pain for too long and the doctor's are telling him there's nothing they can do about his internal bleeding anymore. So now it's a wait and see for his two natural kids, four step kids, and his wife, not to mention the rest of the extended family. So sad!

Des ja vous! I came home from work tonight to find this scene in front of my building. Turns out there was some type of "incident" at Town Ballroom. Jeez, I wonder what that can be! Notice the ambulance backing out of the shot. They took off with their lights on. More to come.

Me and my friend Bill went to see Mamma Mia at Shea's Theatre tonight. It started off a bit slow but ended very strong. I really liked it!
This was my first attempt at a new profile photo. I think it's very artistic but I can do better!

The Music (October) Issue of the magazine is out. Look for it on stands or download it at www.aboutmag.com.
I went back to the Unitarian Universalist church today with my friends Michael and Jeff. It was nice to be back, I hadn't been there since me and Jay were regularly attending last winter. After, me and Michael went for a walk down Elmwood to Delaware Park where we walked around Mirror Lake. It was a nice sunny fall day for a walk. On the walk down Elmwood we stopped at Cafe Aroma to get me some Chai Tea. Big Mistake! Nothing can compare to Spot Coffee's Chai so I hope they can find it in their hearts to forgive me for cheating on them. I feel dirty!
Good news for when you come back home to visit Jeff. This non-descript building on Main St. next to Roxy's will be opening soon as a restaurant specializing in vegetarian and vegan food. The owner has been a practicing veg for over 15 years. There will be some meat entrees so if you want to buy me dinner I would be happy to go with ya!
