I was cat sitting my sister-in-laws cat, Noah (black and white) for 4 days. My cat and him didn't exactly play nice together so I'm glad to see him go!

"People the world over have always been more impressed by the power of our example than by the example of our power."

President Clinton at the '08 DNC Convention

On August 24th New York Magazine published a great story on Buffalo's affordability. It takes a look at former New York City residents who moved here and why. Check it out, it's a quick read.

On Sunday afternoon I went to a reunion at Losson Park in Cheektowaga for former security officers from the Walden Galleria where I worked for the better part of 9 years. I supervised these guys during that time and most of them now work in law enforcement. (From left to right are Jay-NY State Corrections , Tommy-Cheektowaga Police, Rick, NY State Corrections , Shawn-Niagara Falls Police, me in the middle, Jay-NY State Corrections, Kurt-Cheektowaga Police, Galen-Depew Police Chaplain, Chris-Cheektowaga Police, and Keith-NY State Trooper.)
Here's all the guys with their families. It was great seeing everyone again and how they progressed in their careers and personal lives.
Ony our way out to Angelica to go camping we came cross dozens of wind mills in the Wyoming County town of Eagle.
Myself along with my friends Michael and Darren spent the weekend camping at Jones Pond, a gay campground in Angelica, New York. The theme for the weekend was "Cowboy".
"The Barn", a.k.a Party Central!
This view from the top of the hill shows the Poolside Cafe.
A great picture of Jones Pond.
After we set up camp we posed for a picture!
Michael and Darren walking on Bitch Boulevard.
Do you dare follow the Yellow Brick Road?
On saturday night we heade to the barn to get our groove on. The first hour of the night they had line dancing.
Michael and Darren take a break to pose for me.
I may or may not have made out with this cute couple from Erie, PA.
My and Darren tearing up the dance floor.
The D.J. rocked it out all weekend.
The dance floor was packed all night.

Dateline: Below my Bedroom Window @ 8 a.m. Crews begin more work on the 700 block of Main Street awakening me from my slumber!
Very telling!

I came home from work today to find that every tree on the west side of Main Street in front of my building was cut down! I'm assuming that this was all part of the retrafficking of the street. I guess it was neccessary but I wasn't prepared for what I saw. Let the construction begin!
R.I.P. the trees!

I figured I would take my camera along on my bike ride today and put together some construction updates. Let's star with "Residence on North", a new senior housing development, is wrapping up on North Street not far from Elmwood Ave.
Construction recently began on what will be downtown Buffalo's first rowhouse-style townhomes on Washington near Huron Street.
We have structural steel. The new hotel and casino on Michigan Street is still moving full speed ahead dispite a judges ruling that the Seneca's can not operate a downtown casino!
Fix Salon is now open on Ellicott Street beneath the new loft apartments.
And we saved the best for last (NOT, I hate sushi). Sea Bar opened up on Ellicott Street next to Fix Salon.

While headed to the downtown Spot on Chippewa Street Saturday evening I caught this rainbow.
Me and my friend Darrell headed out to the Eden Corn Festival this afternoon. It doesn't get any more podunk than this!
Entering the midway.
Is there nothing these rural folks won't deep fry?
Get your corn here.
I didn't make the Italian Festival this year but thank God I got my Russ' fix here!
No, I wasn't drunk!
After the corn festival my family and I headed to the Family Picnic at my aunt's house. We are slowly forming our own army!

My lil brother!
The family doing their thing.
